What a scare for the elderly in 2020-21, the year of Covid. How many sick people, how many hospitalised, how many deaths. But for the elderly who have not caught the disease or have overcome it and are now mostly vaccinated, the past year – if you look back – has not been so horrible, and indeed they have fared better than adults and young people in managing these sudden and unprecedented difficulties. According to research by Tendercapital-Censis, the vast majority of them, 69.3% of the elderly report not suffering from psychophysical stress since March 2020, compared to only 23.3% of young people and 34.1% of adults.
