3 things to know about David Knopf, one of the youngest CFOs on Wall Street

After the story of Mikaila Ulmer, the 11-year old girl that signed an $11 million deal with Whole Foods, we return to the theme of successful youngsters by taking a look at the academic and professional profile of David Knopf, recently promoted to the role of CFO at food industry giant Kraft Heinz. Here are three things you should know about him.

Humanities degree. It is interesting to learn that Mr. Knopf only graduated from Princeton with a summa cum laude Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 2010, just before embarking on his professional career at Goldman Sachs as an Investment Banking Analyst.

An impeccable CV.

Before arriving at Kraft Heinz, a young David Knopf held various positions at private equity company 3G Capital and worked on several major acquisitions, including the deal between Burger King and Heinz.

 

A date with destiny.

David Knopf takes up his new role in October. At Kraft Heinz since 2015, he has evolved within the company, transitioning from the role of vice president of finance and head of global budget and business planning to that of CFO. Knopf replaces Paulo Basilio, 42, who will become Zone President of the US business at Kraft Heinz.
