In 2051 elderly people will represent 33.2% of the Italian population (compared to 22.8% today). This emerges from the first Censis – Tendercapital report The silver economy and its consequences, which shows the numbers of the demographic trend in Italy. Compared to ten years ago, the number of people aged 65 has increased by 1.8 million and there is an increase of eighty-year-old people.
