VENICE, 22 April 2022 – A new meeting of XPRESS and APRE to promote Green Public Procurement and the development of renewable energies was held at the Palazzo Grandi Stazioni of the Veneto Region.

The meeting aimed in particular to identify, present and discuss solutions to overcome bureaucratic, financial and technical barriers in public procurement in the renewable energy sector.

Tendercapital was present at the panel and presented its vision, proposing tools and solutions to support the purchase of renewable energy and facilitate the relationship between the PA and companies.

XPRESS is a project funded under the EU Horizon 2020 programme and coordinated by APRE – Agenzia per la Promozione della Ricerca Europea. The project is scientifically coordinated by the University of York.

XPRESS aims to facilitate the introduction of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) in cities and municipalities in the UK, Italy, Norway, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Denmark, Slovakia, Portugal and Belgium and in all European countries and focuses on supporting collaboration between local governments and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through Green Public Procurement (GPP).

The final and most important objective is to increase the share of renewable energy solutions in final energy consumption.
