« Capitane Coraggiose » was held at the Salone del Risparmio in Milan, a panel on gender equality with Daria Bignardi and Alessia Marcuzzi, promoted by Tendercapital, one of the most active independent international players in the asset management sector. The aim is to promote women empowerment and female entrepreneurship, limiting gender inequalities.

« The Salone del Risparmio is a valuable opportunity to reflect on the prospects for relaunching the economy and discuss the sectors on which to focus in view of the post-pandemic recovery. In this sense, we believe it is essential to discuss with institutional and private investors the importance of channelling part of the savings into new investments in the production system that represent an unprecedented driver of recovery. Among the many challenges that need to be addressed, we wanted to focus on gender equality, an issue that is particularly close to our hearts, not only from an ethical but also from an economic point of view. Promoting gender equality means fostering efficiency, enhancing the entry of new skills benefitting productivity and more sustainable growth. »- explained Moreno Zani, Chairman of Tendercapital, who opened the event by introducing the guests.

Journalist Daria Bignardi interviewed Alessia Marcuzzi on her activities as an entrepreneur.

According to Alessia Marcuzzi: « In addition to working in television, I have two companies, one of handbags, started in 2012, and one that produces skincare products, started in 2019. Inclusivity and female empowerment has always been at the heart of my work, in fact, 80% of the people who work for my companies are women. In Italy there is a lot of skepticism about people who make television and do business at the same time, especially if they are women. For me it is very satisfying to be able to offer jobs and contribute to bridging the gender gap. The first thing we need to do to eliminate this inequality, » Marcuzzi continued, « is to hire women, considering that most of the layoffs during the pandemic involved female workers and this must be changed. We must have the same rights and the same possibilities, and also guarantee the same salary for equal work between men and women. A very important point about my companies is that both are totally made in Italy and eco-sustainable, starting with the packaging and the product, which is biodegradable.
