The elderly were the hardest hit by the virus in terms of lethality, but they were also the ones who psychologically reacted best to the pandemic and are now ready to play a leading role in Italian society and economy.

The second issue of the Tendercapital and Censis Silver Economy Observatory analysed the condition of the elderly during the most difficult months of the pandemic, revealing their great capacity for resilience and adaptation: 69% of the elderly state that they did not suffer from psychophysical stress, compared to 23% of young people and 34% of adults.
